Q. What are the solar power advantages for my customers?

A. Energy savings is always the biggest one. People who switch from traditional gas or electric water heating to solar hot water heating with our products tend to completely recoup the cost of their investment within 3-5 years. At the end of that time, the savings our products have provided surpass the cost of the actual product. This timespan can become even shorter when state or Federal programs offer incentives or homeowners to enjoy the other benefit of solar pool heating systems: they're environmentally friendly. They greatly reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, instead relying on the completely renewable resource of the sun.

 

Q. Are solar hot water heating systems hard to install?

A. No. If you have never installed one before there will likely be a learning curve at first, but it will soon become second nature.

 

Q. Can solar heating/cooling systems work in cold or cloudy climates?

A. Yes in almost all cases. Days that are cloudy simply require more work from the backup systems to ensure proper temperatures. Excessive cold or heat will not dramatically reduce solar power advantages. The units will continue to function in virtually all conditions suitable for homebuilding.

 

Q. Can collectors be mounted on a flat surface?

A. Yes. All you need is a ground/roof mount, which can be adjusted to ensure optimal tilting to best catch the sunlight. In some cases these may be advisable even for an angled roof to ensure the best performance.
